This will lock down all of your locked parts, and put all of your unlocked parts into the parts bin. Background Color: Change the background color of your contraption.Description: Enter a description of your puzzle so that the player knows what they have to do to solve it.

The contraption options are mostly involved with helping you make puzzles. If the candle gets off the screen but is not lit, the puzzle will not solve. In this example, the candle must be off the screen and lit to be successful. All goals applied to a part must be met in order to have a successful solution. You can adjust recording settings to record faster, but it will lower the quality of your video output. This is normal, and when you play your video back it will run at a normal framerate. While recording, the game will not run in real time.

Throughout its time in the program, Contraption Maker had 6 Alpha releases, adding features such as multiplayer and copy-and-paste, new parts, and new puzzles, followed by a Beta release in May 2014. The game was first released on Steam through its Early Access program on August 28, 2013.
